Albury Ward is a thirty-bed acute Respiratory Unit that manages patients with a range of serious acute respiratory illnesses as well as long term respiratory conditions. The ward is run by an innovative specialist team that provides care with a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach, which includes five Respiratory Consultants, Specialist Respiratory Nurses, a Sleep Team, a Smoking Cessation Team, a Respiratory Physiotherapist, and Occupational Therapists.

We manage patients on non-invasive ventilation, patients that require long term ventilation/home ventilation therapy, and numerous other respiratory cases that require close monitoring. The ward is equipped to receive patients from the Emergency Assessment Unit, Accident and Emergency, and the Intensive Care Unit.
