Hascombe Ward

Hascombe Ward is a 23 bed general paediatric ward and Paediatric Assessment Unit at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. We provide care to children of all ages and their families with a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions.

We are a designated level 2 Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit (POSCU) providing shared care with the Royal Marsden. We work closely with the paediatric ED department, SCBU and children’s out-patient department.

Our Paediatric Assessment Unit accepts referrals from GPs and the Emergency Department (A&E) for patients who need more urgent review but not necessarily admittance onto the ward.

Having to spend time in hospital can be an anxious time for your children and you. Our friendly team of healthcare professionals aims to provide the best care so that your stay is as short and stress-free as possible. 

For younger patients, we have a playroom to help them relax during their time in hospital. For older children we also have access to entertainment systems.
