Kidney cancer

Patient speaking to radiologist

Appointments

Your first appointment will be face-to-face and you will meet your consultant and clinical nurse specialist (CNS). Read more about your first appointment.

All in person oncology appointments will be held in Royal Surrey Cancer Centre, Outpatients 12 (LEVEL B). Further follow-up appointments can be done via the telephone if this is more convenient.

At these appointments your care and treatment will be discussed with you. It is important to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.  What happens after your consultation will depend on your personal management plan.

The team will do its best to see you at your appointment time. However, sometimes clinics can run behind schedule or you may need additional tests. Therefore, please allow half a day for each appointment.

Learn more about our outpatients appointments.

The team will sometimes refer you onto other teams for their expert advice such as dieticians or the Enhanced Supportive Care team.
