Liver cancer

The liver is a large organ at the top right side of your abdomen that helps you to digest your food and removes toxins.

Liver cancer can be found anywhere within the liver and can sometimes start in the liver (primary) or spread from another organ (secondary). This page discusses primary liver cancer, also referred to as Hepatocellular Carcinoma or HCC.
