How can I arrange a referral to the dietitian?

Your GP or doctor you are seeing at the hospital can refer you to see a dietitian. Once we receive this referral, you will be sent a letter via post giving you an appointment date, time and location.

Where are clinics held?

Your appointment letter will confirm the location of your appointment.

Our 1:1 clinic appointments are held at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, in Outpatients 3. Information about how to get to the hospital, including information about parking, can be found on the homepage.

Please use the machines to check in for your appointment in Outpatients 3 and then take a seat.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring a record of what you have eaten and drunk over the last few days. A three day food diary should have been included with your appointment letter, which you can use if you wish.

It is also useful to bring a list of any medications or supplements you are taking.

What do I need to do to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please contact the department as soon as possible. This can be by telephone or email.
