Treatment options

Any treatments offered will depend on which cancer you have and at what stage you have been diagnosed with it. This will also depend on your fitness to tolerate treatment. The treatment may be:

 

 

 

  • Chemotherapy
    Chemotherapy is a cancer treatment where medicine is used to kill cancer cells. It stops the cancer cells reproducing, which prevents them from growing and spreading in your body. If chemotherapy is recommended by your team, it will be delivered intravenously (directly into your vein). This will be administered in Chilworth Day Unit.

You may require only one, or a combination of two or three treatments. All this will be discussed with you as appropriate.
