Midwife-led birthing suite

Royal Surrey Birth Suite offers an alongside midwife-led birthing environment for women at low risk of complications.

The two birthing rooms provide a relaxed home-from-home environment and en-suite facilities.

With a double door system for privacy, these rooms are equipped to support active, natural birthing. Both rooms offer a pool, birthing ball and birthing couch. The versatile active birthing furniture provides comfortable physical support for numerous birthing positions. 

Our midwives specialise in natural birthing techniques including hypnobirthing, water birthing and active birthing positions. 

If you or your baby require additional medical support, the obstetric and neonatal units are on the same floor of our hospital.
