Norwegian students receive big velkommen from Bramshott Ward

Norwegian students

Staff on Bramshott elective orthopaedic ward welcomed Astrid and Helene, two third-year students from the University of Stavanger in Norway who are joining the ward for a nine-week placement.

Victoria Wilding, Senior Practice Development Sister, said: “As a result of Covid-19, student exchange visits have been paused for a while so it’s really exciting to see the programme start up again.

“We are delighted to have Astrid and Helene join us. I think it’s the first time we have had students from Norway. I know Bramshott Ward staff will give them a very enthusiastic welcome.”

Astrid said: “I was a little bit nervous on my first day but I feel that everybody on the ward is just really, really nice and they’re taking care of us. I feel really welcomed.”

Helene added: “We have received a nice welcome and right now we’re walking around, getting to know the ward and doing what we can, enjoying the integration.”
