Executive Directors

The Executive Directors are chaired by the CEO and comprises other senior management appointed by the Board. The Executive Directors meet regularly to address matters concerning the Trust, including matters on strategy and operational management, as well as any issues regarding staff or patients.

The Executive Directors regularly speak with patients and staff, listening to their views, ideas and concerns.

Ross Dunworth - Deputy CEO & Finance Director

Ross Dunworth - Director of Finance

Ross qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in Leeds, joining the local NHS as a Finance Manager in 1992.  He worked in Plymouth, Hertfordshire and Hampshire in senior financial manager roles until leaving the NHS in 2007 to run his own interim and consultancy service.  Since then, he has worked in a diverse range of NHS organisations, joining Royal Surrey June 2016.

Ross has responsibility for managing finance and estate services; most notably achieving the successful delivery of a healthy financial position for the Trust over the last four years and helping the Trust achieve CQC Outstanding for its Use of Resources in 2020.

Ross was appointed Deputy CEO in November 2021, alongside his role as Finance Director.

Ross has an MA in History and Archaeology from the University of Winchester.
